National Library of Poland Network Zone. Standards of cataloguing
The workshop discusses the history of building the catalogue environment of the National Library and the nationwide library network, as well as standards for cataloguing publications. The presentation showed specifics of the library service system, the methodology for its implementation, statistical data and the role of the National Library in the entire project. It also presented main principles of cataloguing regulations developed in the National Library and the method of their reflection in the online catalogue.

dr Szymon Cierpisz
Dr. Szymon Cierpisz graduated the Institute of Art History at the Jagiellonian University in art history. Since January 2017, he has been working at the National Library, first at the Department of Subject Cataloguing as a subject cataloguing librarian in the field of art history, and since October 2018 at the Bibliographic Institute as a member of Alma system and Primo search engine implementation team. Since September 2023, he has been the head of the Bibliographic Record Deduplication Office at the Bibliographic Institute.
